Built from a parent's search
for something better.

Is your child ready for what comes after high school?

of high school graduates do not feel prepared for college or career decisions.”

Too many students reach junior year without a clear sense of direction. Not because they lack potential, but because no one has shown them what is possible. They do not know what careers exist, what college truly requires, or what kind of person they want to become. PROPEL Houston was built to change that.

As a mother of two, my primary mission has always been to prepare my children for the future. When my daughter reached 9th grade without a clear sense of direction, it sent me on a search for programs that could help.

What I found was a gap. Most programs were too far from Houston suburbs, too narrow in career scope, or simply didn’t exist for students who were still figuring things out. The kind of program that shaped my own career, GE’s Information Technology Leadership Program, was not available to high schoolers.

So I built one. Drawing on over 15 years of experience creating leadership programs for global companies, PROPEL Houston was designed to give every student, whatever their schedule or interests, real exposure to what is possible and the habits to pursue it.

Stacie brings over 15 years of experience designing and leading leadership development programs for high school and early-career talent at global companies.

Her career was shaped by GE’s Information Technology Leadership Program — a rotational experience that gave her visibility into multiple career paths, instilled winning habits, and launched her trajectory. Propel Houston is her effort to give that same kind of transformative experience to Houston’s next generation.

Who is this program for?
Propel Houston is for any student in grades 9–11 across the Houston area — Katy, Cypress, Sugar Land, and surrounding communities. Students can begin at Level 1 regardless of their grade. Whether your student has a packed schedule or a wide-open one, if they are ready to gain direction and build real skills, PROPEL Houston is built for them.
What will my student get out of it?
Students leave Level 1 with a clearer sense of who they are, exposure to a wide range of career paths, foundational leadership and communication skills, and a personal goal-driven roadmap for high school and beyond.
What is the time commitment?
Six consecutive Saturday mornings from September 13 through October 18, 2026, from 9:00am to 1:00pm. Students are expected to attend all six sessions to get the full benefit of the program.
How much does it cost?
Program fees are being finalized and will be confirmed with registered families. We are committed to keeping PROPEL Houston accessible to every motivated student.
Where will sessions be held?
Sessions will be held at a professional venue in the Houston area. The exact location will be confirmed and communicated to all registered families well before the first session.
My student is in 11th grade. Is it too late?
Not at all. Students can begin PROPEL Houston at any grade from 9th through 11th. Even completing Level 1 as an 11th grader delivers meaningful results. Career clarity, stronger communication and leadership skills, and a personal roadmap that directly supports college applications and post-secondary planning. One level can change a student's trajectory.
Can my student return for future levels?
Yes, and that is by design. Propel is a three-level program built to grow with students across high school. Level 1 graduates will have priority enrollment in Level 2 launching in 2027, and Level 3 in 2028. For students who begin in 11th grade, completing Level 1 still delivers real value. Career clarity, leadership habits, and a personal roadmap are meaningful at any stage of high school.
